Facial Implant Procedures

Dr. Jacono regularly performs facial implant procedures in conjunction with other facial surgeries such as facelifts and submental liposuction or neck liposuction. This allows Dr. Jacono to complete the overall facial rejuvenation with contours that improve the overall balance of the face and keep his patients looking younger.

Cheek Implants

For cheek implants, Dr. Jacono will create the custom cheek implant to enhance the prominence of the patient’s cheekbones. This procedure is great when combined with a mid-facelift. The cheek implants will add volume to the cheekbone area which in turn will help to correct sagging lower eyelids.

Dr. Jacono will insert the implants through an incision inside the mouth. The incisions are hidden and no visible scarring will be present.

Chin Implants

A recessed chin or weak chin makes the lower portions of the face appear to be much smaller than the upper facial features and creates an imbalance in overall facial harmony. Chin implant procedures are typically combined with facelift surgeries, rhinoplasty procedures, or other facial cosmetic procedures to develop a more comprehensive facial enhancement.

In many cases, a small or weak chin will make the nose appear to be much larger and out of proportion to the rest of the face. Therefore Dr. Jacono will perform a chin implant procedure in conjunction with a rhinoplasty procedure (primary nose job). He will also use a custom chin implant for his male patients to help create a stronger and more masculine chin and jaw.

Dr. Jacono inserts the chin implant through a small incision under the chin which leaves a barely noticeable well-hidden scar. In some cases, Dr. Jacono will insert the chin implant through an incision inside of the lower lip region.

Jaw Implants

Jaw Implants also known as mandibular augmentation is a commonly performed procedure to correct a small or imbalanced jawline. For male patients, Dr. Jacono will use a jaw implant to develop a stronger jawline. This procedure is also used to create volume for those who have a narrow width to the outer area of the jaw by the ears.

For women, Dr. Jacono will use jaw implants to help create facial balance for female patients with weak chins. Dr. Jacono will create a softer, balanced jawline that is understated.

Dr. Jacono typically inserts the jaw implant through a hidden incision inside the mouth. The incision is placed further back along the jawline at the crease where the gums and lower lips meet.

Dr. Jacono customizes each implant after an in-depth consultation takes place which includes a CT facial imaging scan. This scan allows Dr. Jacono to recreate the patient’s facial structures in a 3D model using computer aided design. Once the imaging is completed Dr. Jacono creates a bespoke facial implant that is developed to achieve the best surgical outcome for that specific patient.
